Amanda Carey-McDermott
Amanda Carey-McDermott joined The Confederation in 2023 as COO and took on the role of CEO earlier this summer. She has a background in operational service delivery and change developed over more than 30 years in a range public & private sector roles; everything from oil and utilities, central & local government and, for the last 12 years, health. She is passionate about transforming services and modernising the NHS for the benefit of patients, bringing care closer to home, with Primary Care at its heart. She is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and has been a board and committee member for heritage housing association, the Guinness Partnership, for the last 7 years.
